The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested seven notorious thugs, popularly known as Sara-Suka, terrorising residents of Bauchi metropolis with weapons.
The Command Public Relations Officer, SP Ahmed Wakil, who disclosed this to newsmen in Bauchi, said, “On April 8, 2023, at about 0930hrs, operatives attached to C’ Divisional Police Headquarters in Bauchi in collaboration with a quasi-security outfit, acting on credible intelligence, raided a criminal hideout in an uncompleted building situated at Magaji Quarters, Bauchi.”
The operation, he said, led to the arrest of the following suspects; Rayyanu Mohammed, Mustapha Harisu, Yusuf Ibrahim, Mubarak Lawal, Abubakar Musa, Al-Amin Hussaini, and Hamza Umar, all of Magaji Quarters in Bauchi.
Wakil stated that assorted arms and some alcoholic beverages were retrieved from their possession during the raids which include two axes, three knives, 10 empty bottles of cough syrup, two empty tubes of rubber solution and one wrap of cannabis sativa.
