Police Arrest suspected rustler, bike thief in Jigawa

The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested suspected vandals, motorcycle thieves and rustlers.

In a statement, the commands spokesman, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, said, “That on 22/07/2023 at about 1100hrs based on credible and actionable information, a detective attached to Kazaure Divisional Police Headquarters, arrested one Mutari Yahaya ‘m’ aged 23 years of Wajen Gabas, Kazaure LGA, in possession of copper armoured cable, 8mm by length in a sack along Kanti Quarters in Kazaure LGA.

“On interrogation, the suspect confessed to have vandalised the street light cables in Gamji and Shaiskawa quarters, all in Kazaure LGA. He mentioned one Akibu Lawan ‘m’ 25 years of Kanti Quarters as receiver of the stolen property.

“The duo are in police custody giving useful information for the possible arrest of fleeing suspects.”
