The police in Kano State have arrested a suspected armed robber and recovered two AK-47 rifles and the sum of N4,986,000.
Police spokesman in the state, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, in a statement, said a resident of Yandadi village in Kunchi LGA reported that robbers stormed his residence and robbed him of N15,000,000.
Kiyawa said that despite the ongoing nationwide protest, the Commissioner of Police (CP), Salman Dogo Garba, directed detectives to conduct patrols to arrest the culprits.

Kiyawa further said that the detectives arrested the principal suspect, Hassan Iliya (35) while attempting to escape on a motorcycle, adding that a sack containing two AK-47 rifles N4,986,000 were found on him.
