Police arrest suspected killers of undergraduate

The Bayelsa State Police Command have arrested two gang members allegedly involved in the killing of 16-year-old undergraduate student, Miss Seiyefa Fred, last week in Amarata, Yenagoa.

The state Police Spokesman, DSP Asinim Butswat, in a statement on Friday disclosed that one Junior Daumunabo was arrested with a locally made pistol at Ebis Mechanic Street, Amarata and the suspect led the police to arrest another gang member, Ayibakepreye Idionyo.

He said on November 16, at about 0500 hours, with the assistance of the state vigilante service, 20-year-old one Junior Daumunabo of Ebis Mechanic Street, Amarata, was arrested with a locally made pistol and led Police to arrest of 30-year-old one Ayibakepreye  Idionyo who allegedly supplied the locally made pistol.

The Spokesman said upon interrogation, Junior Daumunabo confessed to be a member of greenland cult group and also confessed that he was a member of the gang that shot and killed Seiyefa Fred.
