A police source said one Peter Blessing of Phase IV Kubwa, Abuja reported at Kubwa Police Division that while she was in her mother’s shop at the plaza, the suspect entered the shop on pretense that he wanted to buy some items from the shop and having discussed with the girl for a while, he forcefully pushed her down on the floor and pointed a toy gun on her head and ordered her to surrender all the money realized from the sale.
The source said it was in that process that the complainant raised alarm and he was arrested at the scene, adding that items recovered from him include one plastic toy gun and a wallet containing two ATM cards.
Assistant Superintendant Ikechukwu Peter, the command’s spokesperson, confirmed the incident and said in another development that the command operation’s patrol team, arrested another suspect at the Dei-Dei new market in Gwagwa along FCT/Niger boundary for stealing a blue Toyota Camry car from Kubwa and they recovered the vehicle.
He said the suspects have been arraigned in court accordingly.
