The police in Kwara State have arrested three armed robbers who have been terrorising the students of the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete.
The suspects were arrested following reports by three female students of the university that they were robbed in their hostels by armed men.

It was gathered that the arrest of the leader of the gang, Ridwan Abdulfatai (20), led to the apprehension of the two others, Ridwan Akorede (25) and Aliyu Abubakar Apalado (25).
In a statement on Sunday, the spokesperson of the command, Okasanmi Ajayi, said, “Investigation led to the recovery of a locally made gun, a knife, charms, 11 generators, two motorcycles, a fridge, standing fan and pumping machine.
“Others are 19 iPhone 6, three iPhone 11, 16, iPhone 6 Plus, 5 iPhone XR and other brands of handsets totalling 87, 10 laptops and two television sets.”
Okasanmi, who described the leader as a jailbird, said effort was ongoing to arrest the remaining members of the gang.
