The police in Ogun State have arrested another “notorious” cultist and robbery suspect, Christian Peter, at Mowe in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area.
The police spokesman in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, on Wednesday, said the suspect was arrested while the DPO of Mowe, CSP Folashade Tanaruno, was on routine patrol on Mowe/Ofada Road.
According to him, on sighting the policemen, the suspect made an attempt to escape but was apprehended.
He said when a waist bag in his possession was searched, a locally made double-barrel pistol loaded with four live cartridges was recovered therein.
Oyeyemi further said the suspect was one the hoodlums terrorising Mowe/Ofada axis in recent times.
