The police in Osun State on Tuesday arrested a man, Moshood Anifanikun, with human parts in his house in Gbongan community.
One of the suspect’s neighbours said the odour around his house raised suspicion and the residents alerted the police.

He said the police discovered the decaying human parts when they searched his house and therefore arrested the man.
Another resident corroborated the earlier evidence, saying, “We don’t know where Moshood got the human parts. We just perceived the odour and asked his wife what was smelling in their house.
“When Moshood realised that we were suspecting him, he took the bag out of the room and kept it at the backyard. That was where the policemen retrieved it.” The suspect confessed that he extracted the human parts from a grave.
The police spokesman of the state, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident, saying the matter would be investigated and the suspect prosecuted.
