The police in Kano State have arrested a man, Sadam Mu’azu, popularly known as Badoo (33), of Tukuntawa Quarters in Kano metropolis after a public outcry on his illicit drug activities.
In a statement, the police spokesman in the state, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said Saddam had been on the wanted list of the command for long.

He said exhibits recovered during the operation to arrest Badoo included 11 parcels of hemp, a cutlass, five motorcycles and N111,500. In a related development, Kiyawa said they arrested a personnel of the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) attached to the Kurmawa facility, Hamisu Mamuda, in possession of 12 nylon bags of dried leaves suspected to be hemp with the intent to sell same to inmates.
