Police arrest fake naira notes peddler in Enugu

The police in Enugu State have arrested a counterfeit money peddler, one Maduabuchi Okonkwo, in the state.

City & Crime learnt that the 24-year-old suspect, who hails from Mkpologu Ememe Enugu, was arrested on Wednesday at about 3pm, while in possession of over N40,000 dud naira notes.

A statement issued on Tuesday by the police spokesman in the state, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, said luck ran out on him while he was on board a vehicle within the Enugu metropolis and was about to pay his fare with the counterfeit money when the driver observed closely and on discovering it was dud money, raised the alarm.
