Police arrest, charge 213 suspects to court over rail vandals

Yetunde Longe, immediate past Commissioner of Police, Railway command, said that 213 suspects were arrested in one year while she was in charged of the command.

Longe disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) while assessing her operations at the Railway command headquarters, Ebute-Metta, Lagos.

She said that investigations into all the suspects arrested were concluded and all were charged to court.

The police boss has just been redeployed to the Port Authority Command, Eastern Zone, Port Harcourt.

She said that suspects were arrested from across the country for various offences, including vandalisation of rail track facilities, whose values were yet to be estimated. (NAN)
