The police in Edo State have arrested six cultists in Benin City and Auchi town in Etsako LGA.
It was gathered that five of the suspects were arrested in Benin City following a cult clash, while one was arrested in Auchi.

The suspects are Andrew Owhoyavwosa (22), Joseph Meshak (25), Osazee Solomon (35), Godswill Obasohan (25), Charles Odiase (52) and Okoh Peter (68).
The state command’s spokesperson, Chidi Nwanbuzor, said the suspects in Benin were arrested on July 2, while attending a meeting and that three locally made guns, 30 live cartridges, one first aid box, kola nuts, eggs, cowries, one dead chicken, seven handsets and N30,000 cash were recovered from them.
According to him, the suspect from Auchi was arrested by the vigilantes on Igbe Road while the police were on routine patrol on July 3.
He said the suspect, on sighting the police fired gunshots to enable his escape but was subdued and arrested.
He said one locally-made single-barrel gun, one live, one expended cartridge and one motorcycle with registration number: BEN-316-QP, were recovered from him.
According to him, the suspect confessed to being a member of the Vikings Confraternity.
