Police arrest 6 ‘one chance’ robbers in Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command has paraded six suspected ‘one chance’ robbers.

CP Benneth Igweh, the FCT police commissioner, who paraded the suspects in Abuja on Saturday, said they were arrested by operatives of the Utako Divisional Headquarters.

He said the operatives, acting on credible intelligence, trailed and arrested the six suspects while robbing some residents who boarded vehicles and tricycles around Utako and Jabi area.

He gave the names of the suspects as Abubakar Adams, Ismail Salisu, Yusuf Bello, Nasiru Sa’idi, Sani Usman and Ibrahim Kasa.

He said some exhibits, such as cutlasses, knives, charms and a phone believed to have been stolen from a victim, were recovered from them.

He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to ensure the safety of residents of the FCT.
