Ekiti State Police Command has arrested six suspected cultists while holding a meeting in their hideout.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, ASP Sunday Abutu, in a statement, said they were arrested on March 1 at about 8.30am and suspected to be members of “Denorsemen Secret Cult Group.”

He said receiving credible information, “the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) mobilised to the scene where six suspected cultists: Omole Paul, 21,  Okoro Wisdom, 22,  David Makinlola, 20, Egbado Kester, 22, Raymond Ejekwu, 21, and Daniel Chiwumba,28, were arrested.”

He said items recovered from the suspects included two cutlasses, one hammer, two cups of loud hemp, three wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp and different criminal charms.
