The police in Kano State have arrested 59 suspected criminals and recovered weapons and illicit drugs from them.
This was even as the Commissioner of Police in the state, Sumaila Shuaibu Dikko, said the war against drug dealers and thugs (yan daba) would be sustained with a vigorous effort.
The spokesman of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, revealed this on Thursday in a statement where he noted that the suspects, arrested between “19/10/2021 and 27/10/2021” included those suspected for robbery, theft and dealing in illicit drugs.
He said all the suspects of various addresses within Kano metropolis were arrested with weapons and stolen property.
