The Delta State Police Command has said that its operatives have arrested five suspected cultists in Ughelli North LGA.
The spokesman of the command, SP Bright Edafe, who disclosed this to newsmen, said the DPO of Ofuoma led operatives to a hotel in Afiesere where the suspects gathered and later went to Ogbovwan community where they shot and killed a chained dog in a house.
He said the suspects also shattered the doors and windows of the house with bullets, and that upon sighting the police, they took to their heels.
He said the operatives went after them and arrested five of them, all suspected to be members of the Black Axe confraternity.

He said items recovered from the suspects were three locally made cut-to-size guns, one axe, 12 live cartridges, seven expended cartridges, eight phones and two cross bags.
