Police arrest 5 burglars in Edo

The police in Edo State have arrested five persons in connection with a burglary at Ugbor, GRA axis of Benin City, Edo State.

Police spokesperson in the state, SP Chidi Nwanbuzor, said the police received a complaint that a house owned by a woman based abroad was burgled and that the DPO led his men to the scene and arrested the security guard of the house.

He said during the investigation four other suspects were arrested, adding that they had all confessed to the crime.

He further said, “The suspects led the police to where four boxes containing clothes, shoes and wines were recovered; being the items stolen from the house.”
