The police in Kano State have arrested 45 suspects at Kwanar Diso area of Gwale LGA for blocking Kofar Na’isa and attacking and robbing commuters.
The state’s police spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said upon receipt of the acts of the suspects, a team of Operation Puff Adder led by CSP Bashir Musa Gwadabe proceeded to the area and cordoned it, entrapping the thugs at Filin Mahaha area.
He said 45 suspected thugs ‘yan daba were arrested with weapons and a large quantity of illicit drugs, noting that they confessed that they were invited from different parts of Kano metropolis in the name of attending a wedding ceremony and ended up at Filin Mahaha smoking and taking different illicit drugs.
