The police in Niger State have arrested 44 suspected hoodlums in connection with attacks and persistent breach of peace in Minna.
The command’s spokesman, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, in a statement, said the arrest came: “Following recent reports of miscreant clashes, thuggery and pockets of tricycle robberies in parts of Minna metropolis such as Stadium Junction, Limawa, Angwan-Daji, Bosso Road, Flamingo Junction, Morris Junction and Barkin-Sale, causing public unrest, inflicting serious injuries on victims and dispossessing members of the public of their valuables.”
He said the weapons recovered from the suspects included cutlasses, pairs of scissors, knives, swords and sticks.

He further said other items recovered included phones, shisha pipes and pots, saw, iron bar, illicit drugs, a bunch of keys and ATM cards.
