The police in Edo State have arrested four robbery suspects, Ailojie Christopher (52), Iyamu Aisosa (32), Idemudia Osatare (26) and Frank Joseph (24), with a firearm.
It was gathered that the suspects were arrested on June 10, on the Benin-Lagos Expressway.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Chidi Inwanbuzor, said the police, while on stop-and-search duty at Mile 18, intercepted a Mercedez Benz saloon with Registration No: Lagos BDG 183 AH, and arrested the suspects who were occupants of the vehicle.
He said the suspects looked suspicious and that during a search on them one locally made pistol with a live cartridge was recovered from them.
Nwabuzor said during interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime, saying the firearm was given to them by one of the suspects, Iyamu Aisosa.
