Four members of a gang, who specialises in robbing operators of Point Of Sale (POS) in Ondo State, have been arrested by the police.
The robbers are allegedly responsible for various attacks on POS at filling stations and killings in Akure Metropolis.
The gang is said to be responsible for the death of one Nofisat Adetutu Ibrahim, a POS operator at Okeogba in Akure, Ondo State capital, in 2020.
According to the police, the four suspects were nabbed in different locations, including in Ekiti State after extraordinary operations carried out by the Anti-Robbery Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) from Ondo Police Command, and that they had confessed to the killing of six persons in Akure between 2019 and 2021.
