The police have arrested four persons allegedly involved in cultism, as well as being in possession of firearms, in Edo State.

The suspects, Osagbovo Omono (37), Saraha Bilu Ismail (20), Umaru Azika (28) and Solomon John (20), who are suspected members of the Ayei secret cult, were arrested during a raid in Iyowa community along the Benin-Akure road.

The state’s Commissioner of Police, Funsho Adeboye, said one pump action gun and one locally made cut-to-size double-barrel gun were recovered from them, and that they made statements and confessed to being members of the Aiye secret cult.
