The Katsina State Police Command has arrested three teenagers for allegedly gang-raping a 13-year-old girl.
The Police said the boys pushed her into a pond, after having sex with her, where she was drowned.

While parading the suspects, the police spokesperson, SP Gambo Isah, said: “The trio; Mubarak Lawan, 16; Anas Ibrahim 15 and Aliyu Mika also 15, all of Danmusa town, Danmusa LGA of Katsina state, conspired, attacked and raped one Safiya Basiru, 13, of Dutsen-Dadi village, Danmusa LGA of Katsina state, inside their farmland.”
He added that the suspects, thereafter, threw the victim into a nearby pond, saying that the victim was later found and taken to Danmusa Hospital where she was confirmed dead.
The Command had also succeeded in busting a notorious syndicate that allegedly specialized in sales of illicit drugs (Tramadol, D5, and Exel tablets) to bandits.
“Nemesis caught up with the trio of 1. Sani Musa 30, of Sheme village, Faskari LGA of Katsina state; Nuhu Lawal, 30, of Yar Goje village, Kankara LGA of Katsina state and Umaru Amadu, alias ‘NO GREE’ 35, of Dutsinma LGA of Katsina state, while effort is on top gear with a view to arresting their ring leader, one Rabe Karofi alias ‘Rabe Kwayu’, SP Isah has said.
Similarly, the Command has paraded a syndicate that allegedly specialized in sales of fuel in Jerricans to suspected bandits and recovery of five dismantled stolen motorcycles conveyed inside a Golf motor vehicle with reg. no. AA 869 RMG suspected to have been received from the bandits in the forest.
Suspects arrested are; Badaru Ibrahim, 25; Abdulrahim Lawal, 31; Imrana Abdullahi, 20; Abdulsalam Muhammed; Usman Umar, 27 and Abdullahi Isyaku, 33.
Equally, one Mustapha Wada, 28, of Gwagwarwa, Nassarawa LGA of Kano State, suspected to be a member of a syndicate that specializes in vandalizing electricity installations in Katsina, Kano, and Yobe states, was arrested by the command.
SP Isah said all the suspects would be charged to court for prosecution when the Police conclude their investigation.
