The police in Jigawa State have arrested three armed robbery suspects and recovered a Beretta pistol.
In a statement, the command’s spokesman, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, said, “On 28/09/2023 at about 0930hrs, one Sagiru Musa ‘m’ aged 30 of Kakikankare village in Ringim LGA of Jigawa State reported at the Ringim Police Station that on the same date at about 0030hrs armed men numbering about four trespassed into his house and went away with his Golf 3 wagon with registration number, RNG 691 AA, valued at N1.8m and two phone keypads.
He further stated that his ATM card, voter’s card, National ID card, customs duty card, vigilante ID card and vehicle particulars were kept in the stolen car.
“On October 1, Yakubu Adamu ‘m’ aged 30; Hamisu Adamu ‘m’ aged 34, all of Narewa village, Ringim LGA; and Abubakar Sani ‘m’ aged 28, of Yankaba Quarters, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State, were arrested and a Beretta pistol with four ammunition were recovered from them.

“On interrogation, Yakubu and Abubakar confessed to having participated in the offence alleged against them. They further revealed that the vehicle was sold in Maradi city in Niger Republic.”
Adam added that effort was on to arrest the remaining suspects and recover the car.
