A lawyer, A.D. Sosanwo, has demanded a N10m damage from the police for unlawfully detaining three of his clients over Governor Dapo Abiodun’s Christmas largess to the Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The governor reportedly gave the local government bags of rice and N500, 000 as Christmas gift.

Sosanwo, in a petition written to the Ijebu Ode Police Area Command, explained that his clients were arrested on January 2 and 3 on the order of the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Tokunbo Talabi, and were detained beyond the specific constitutional period.
