The Commissioner of Police in Bauchi State, Umar Mamman Sanda, has ordered an autopsy to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman in Bauchi Local Government Area, Alhaji Musa Hussaini Gwabba.
Sanda in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, appealed to the public for calm.

He said three people had been arrested in connection with the death and that investigation had begun.
Narrating the circumstance leading to the death of Gwabba, the statement said police received information on Saturday that Gwabba was in distress.
“DPO C Division visited the scene at Khairan Hotel located behind Specialist Hospital Bauchi where he met the victim vomiting in his hotel and rushed him to ATBU Teaching Hospital Bauchi for treatment, where he was certified dead by a medical doctor.
“Preliminary investigation has led to the arrest of three suspects for interrogation”
He said the result of the autopsy is being awaited and the outcome of the investigation will be made public,” the statement added.
