The police in Katsina State have arrested three suspected gunrunners in Dutsinma LGA.
The command’s spokesman, ASP Abubakar Aliyu, who disclosed this to newsmen on Friday, said: “They were arrested while attempting to deliver 740 rounds of live 7.62mm ammunition to suspected armed bandits in Yauni Forest, Ummadau village in Safana LGA of Katsina State.”

Aliyu said that the preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects received the ammunition from someone in Nasarawa State to deliver to one Harisu, a suspected bandit kingpin currently at large.
