The Police in Benue State have arrested 22 people in connection with an attack by hoodlums allegedly from Mbamar-Awajir community on Ugambe people in Konshisha Local Government Area of the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Moses Joel Yamu said at the weekend, that an early morning operation during which the suspects were apprehended was conducted by a reinforcement team deployed to the area to restore sanity.
"This resulted in the arrest of 22 suspects, and the recovery of one police bullet proof jacket," he said.
Yamu added that the suspects will be arraigned in court as soon as investigation is concluded.
