The Police in Jigawa State have arrested two persons found in possession of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp valued at N4.6 million.
Parading the suspects yesterday in Dutse, the state Commissioner of Police, Rasheed O Akintunde said the Indian hemp was carefully wrapped and sealed to look like a book.
He explained that Sunday Lawrence, 26 and Shu’aibu Abdullahi, 27, ran out of luck when his men on patrol intercepted their vehicle in Mallam-Madori Local Government Area.
The police boss said Lawrence who is an indigene of Kaduna State but lived in Kwanar Ganduje in Kano State and Abdullahi, who hails from Gashua in Yobe State were arrested in a vehicle with registration XB 572 AKK along Yobe Road.
