Police arrest 2 trying to sell stolen SUV in Edo

Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested two men, Mustapha Suleiman (27) and Isaac Joseph (25), while they were attempting to sell a Toyota RAV4 (EKY 855 JJ) they stole from Lagos State in Benin City.

The command’s spokesman, Moses Yamu, said that the suspects met with someone who wanted to buy the car for N4m but that they insisted on selling it at N6m.

Speaking with journalists, one of the suspects, Suleiman, said, “I am a driver. The car belongs to my madam. When she asked me to wash the car, I drove it down to Edo to sell it,” adding that they wanted to sell the car for N6m with a view to start a laundry business.
