The police have arrested two suspected kidnappers, Peter Joseph (41) and Awolo Kanu (40) over alleged kidnapping in Edo State.
The commissioner of police in the state, Funsho Adeboye, said the suspects were members of a kidnap gang terrorizing Uteseh community and its environs.
He explained that the suspects were arrested at their hideout in Uteseh forest, where they keep kidnapped victims.
He said the operatives of Okada Division, while acting on credible intelligence, stormed a kidnappers’ hideout at Uteseh community and arrested the two suspects.

The commissioner listed items recovered from them to include one locally made double barrel gun, two rounds of live cartridges and two expended cartridges.
He said investigation had commenced to arrest other members of the gang, adding that they would soon be charged to court.
