The police in Bayelsa State have arrested two armed robbers and recovered a Barretta pistol in their possession in Yenagoa, the state capital.
Police spokesman in the state, SP Asinim Butswat, told journalists that the suspects were arrested inside a tricycle during a stop-and-search.

The suspects are said to be among hoodlums that use tricycles to rob passengers in the state capital.
Butswat said, “The suspects are Zion Kientei ‘m’ 28 years and one Solomon Deizigha ‘m’ 29 years. They were arrested inside a tricycle with MOT Number 7501 during a stop-and-search operation on the Isaac Boro Expressway, Yenagoa, on May 22, 2022, at about 2140 hours.”
