Police arrest 2, recover firearm in Jigawa

The police in Jigawa State, in collaboration with vigilantes, have arrested two men, Hamza Abdullahi, aka Chumo (22), of Wangara Fulani settlement in Ringim LGA; and Hassan Ya’u (25) of Tsoma Fulani settlement in Ajingi LGA of Kano State for being in possession of one locally made pistol.

DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the command’s spokesman, who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, said the arrest was sequel to an order by the Commissioner of Police on raiding black spots and criminal hideouts across the state.
