Police arrest 2 for brutalising female student in Nasarawa

The police in Nasarawa State have arrested suspects for brutalising a 20-year-old student of the Federal University, Lafia (FULAFIA), Blessing Mathias.

In a statement, the command’s spokesman, DSP Rahman Nansel, said: “In continuation of the relentless pursuit of all the suspects connected to the case of assault that was captured in a video that has gone viral, be informed that the duo of Bob Praise Ayokhai, a 300-level student of the Department of Microbiology, Federal University of Lafia; and Saint-Dan Ayokhai, both male, have been arrested for being parties to the commission of the dastardly act.”

Our correspondent reports that Blessing was driven to a location captured in a viral video where Dr Fred Ekpa Ayokhai, a lecturer, used scissors to cut off her clothes.
