The police in Rivers State have arrested two teenagers over rape and defilement of a 12-year-old girl at Rumudomaya in Obio Akpor Local Government Area.
Our correspondent reports that the suspects, Chibuike (15) and Christopher (14) were arrested on Monday, while the third suspect is at large.

The father of the victim who pleaded anonymity told our correspondent that in November, 2021, the three boys abducted his daughter at Rumudomaya area on her way to dispose refuse at about 7pm and took her to a secluded area where they defiled her and held her for over three hours, warning her not to disclose their identities.
The state’s police public relations department confirmed the arrests.
