Police arrest 1 as Osun shuts school over touts’ invasion

Several people were injured and the incident caused panic in the area

The Osun State Government has shut Ife-Oluwa Grammar School, Oke-Ayepe in Osogbo as touts invaded the school and attacked students.

Several people were injured and the incident caused panic in the area. The mission of the touts could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.

The police spokesman in the state, Yemisi Opalola, said one of the touts was arrested and that they were on the trail of others.

Gov Adegboyega Oyetola who attended Ife-Oluwa Grammar School, expressed worry over the incident and ordered a thorough investigation into it.

The governor, through the Commissioner for Education, Mr Oladoyin Folorunsho, closed down the school until further notice.
