The police in Lagos yesterday arraigned the suspected killers of a Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) official before a magistrate court at Yaba, Lagos.
The official, Ola Oyeshina, was allegedly attacked and killed by drivers at the Sifax-Iganmu area of Apapa, Lagos, on Friday November 29, 2019.
The two drivers arrested and suspected to have killed the LASTMA official are Abdullahi Akerele and Nurudeen Ogungbe.
The two men were arraigned before Chief Magistrate Kikelomo Ayeye on a two-count charge bordering on an attack on and murder of a law enforcement officer.
The defendants denied the charge.
Ayeye ordered that the defendants be remanded in prison custody pending advice from the Department of Public Prosecution.
The magistrate adjourned the matter till January 28, 2020 for hearing.
