Police arraign security guard over alleged cellphone theft

The accused, Eseigbe Gabriel, 25, a resident of Pyakasa village, Abuja, was arraigned on a one-count charge of theft.
The prosecutor, Cpl. Anigbo Paul, told the court that the complainant, Miss Amarachi John, plugged a Nokia mobile phone valued at N33,000 in Gabriel’s security house.
Paul said that Gabriel stole the mobile phone and refused to disclose where he kept it.
He said the offence contravened Section 288 of the penal code.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Senior Judge Gambo Garbo, granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 and one surety in like sum.
Garbo adjourned the case till Nov.11, 2014, for hearing. (NAN)
