Police arraign bank manager for theft

The Osun State Police Command on Friday arraigned a bank manager, Oriodoefe Ufoma at a Magistrate Court in Osogbo, the state capital over alleged theft.

The police prosecutor, ASP Taiwo Adegoke told the court that the accused person stole of N603,330 belonging to Association of Icon and Life Changing Empowerment.

He stated that the offence committed by the accused person was contrary to and punishable under Section 390(9)(6) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 vol.II Laws of Osun State Nigeria, 2002.

The accused person pleaded not guilty to offence leveled against him and his counsel, Okobe Najite applied for his bail in the most liberal terms.

The prosecutor opposed the bail application, stating that the accused person is from Delta state, has no family in Osun and may jump bail.

The Magistrate, Opeyemi Badmus, admitted the accused person to bail for N500,000.

The case was adjourned till October 15, 2020 for hearing.
