The Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Geidam has distributed items to empower his people in Yobe East Senatorial District.
The items include four tractors, 23 mini buses and 98 tricycles as empowerment materials under the 2023 capital intervention project in the Yobe East senatorial district.
Daily Trust on Sunday learnt that the items were distributed under the office of Senator Ibrahim Geidam, who was a senator representing Yobe East in 2019 and re-elected in 2023 before he was appointed Minister of Police Affairs by President Bola Tinubu.
Distributing the items at the Damaturu Local Government Multipurpose Hall Premises, the minister said the items were not just tools but symbols of empowerment designed to foster self-reliance and drive economic progress in the state.

The minister, who was represented by his chief of staff, Alhaji Kuwata Goni, said the allocation of the resources underscores his commitment to creating jobs, supporting small-scale enterprises, and eradicating poverty and hunger.
In his remark, the deputy governor of Yobe State, Idi Barde Gubana, appealed to all the people of Yobe East senatorial district to cast their votes for Geidam’s replacement, Musa Mustapha of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the upcoming bye-elections.
