President Muhammadu Buhari is said to visit Adamawa state tomorrow and to declare open anti-corruption summit on the 20th and 21st of February, 2018 in Adamawa State.
This was made known by the Deputy Governor of Adamawa State also the Chairman Organizing committee of the Adamawa anti-corruption summit, Engineer Martins Babale today at the Banquet hall of the government house Yola.
According to the press statement, the summit is said to be historic for both Adamawa State and Nigeria as a whole also a proof and an indication that the anti-corruption drive of Mr. President which has received wide acclaim in the world is equally rooted at the grassroots.
The Adamawa State anti-Corruption summit 2018 has its theme “Performance Based Governance: Tranparency, Accountability and Social Value” and will be held under the distinguished Chairmanship of Alhaji Ahmed Joda, one of the respected elder statesman in Nigeria.
Barrister Boss Gida Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, will be the lead discussant of the Summit while the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) , Ibrahim Magu and Professor Bolaji Owasanoye, the acting Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) and several important personalities are expected to grace the occasion.
Dr. Umar Buba Bindir, Secretary to the Government of Adamawa State will be the Keynote Speaker at the event while Dr. Louis Mandama Mni, Head of Service of Adamawa State is the Chairman Summit Committee.
Engr. Babale called on the press and the general public to support the entire summit and give all proceedings the desired publicity.
