Jonathan who addressed a rally at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium in Jos during his presidential campaign, said his administration was introducing commercial agriculture in secondary schools with the intention to make Nigerians regard it as a big time venture rather than being just about hoes and cutlasses.
He added that many of America’s millionaires are farmers, and that if Nigerians give him another opportunity through the coming election, he would take Nigeria to higher heights in agriculture and other sectors.
On his entourage were Vice President Namadi Sambo, Senate President David Mark, PDP chairman Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, campaign director general Sen Ahmadu Ali, Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State and his deputy, Ambassador Ignatius Longjan, PDP state chairman Raymond Dabo and the party’s governorship candidate, Gyang Pwajok.
In his remarks, Senate President David Mark said, “North Central Zone is PDP and PDP is North Central,” assuring Jonathan that the North Central would stand solidly behind him.
