A former gubernatorial candidate in Plateau State, Mr Alex Ladan, has charged youths of Pan extraction to rise against divisive tendencies for the progress of their people.
He said as young people, they must remain united in defining their future or get perished.
Ladan stated this while addressing Pan Youths during their maiden “Pan Youth Symposium” held at the NUT hall in Doemak, Qua’an Pan local government areas of Plateau.
“I appreciate the national leadership of Pan Youth Association for taking such a bold step for the first time in the history of the association. I wish other ethnic youth nationalities on the Plateau will copy from you.
“At this challenging moment, I charge the Pan nation to unite or get perished. People always come and chart a course but immediately they go out of that venue, they forget it,” he cautioned.
Ladan enjoined the leadership of the Pan Traditional Council to support the course of unity initiated by the Pan Youth Association.
The National President of Pan Youth Association (PYA), Comrade Yonmi Dama, said the event was organised in view of the alarming state of “insecurity ranging from kidnapping, arm robbery and other vices, which indicate a fall of moral standards and system failure within and beyond the Pan Nation.”
