Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), the multi-security task force maintaining peace in Plateau and some parts of Bauchi and Kaduna State, on Monday, said the corpse of the Fulani leader (Ardo) of Panyam in Panyam District in Mangu LGA of Plateau State who was killed on Saturday evening was yet to be discovered.
According to the leadership of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in the state, the ardo was killed while returning from a visit to the District Head of Panyam.
Responding on the development, the spokesperson of the operation, Captain Oya James, said a search team had been deployed to the area to look for the body of the deceased, adding that the command would do everything possible to find the corpse.
Captain James also said the perpetrators of the act would surely be arrested and brought to book, calling on people of the area to remain calm.

He said, “We are in search of the perpetrators of the incident. It was a very unfortunate incident. Since Saturday morning the troops are on the search for the perpetrators and they must be brought to book.”
