The Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) has said the state is set to conduct local government elections in October.
Fabian Ari Ntung, who is chairman of the commission disclosed this yesterday in Jos, while briefing journalists and stakeholders of 18 political parties in the state.

The chairman said the preparation for the conduct of the election followed the expiration of the tenure of the current chairmen and councilors of the 17 LGAs in the state.
