The special taskforce protecting Plateau and parts of Bauchi and Kaduna states, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), has warned that henceforth, it will demolish any house found to be harbouring any member of the dangerous gang, Sara-Suka.

The Commander of the OPSH, Major General Rogers Nicholas, expressed anger yesterday at the group’s growing boldness when he stressed, “Anytime we pursue a Sara-suka member and he runs into a house and members of that house refuse to bring him out, we will bring down that house, we will no longer take this nonsense.”

He said the decision was reached following a recent peace parley held with elders of the affected communities in Jos North.

Daily Trust gathered that recently, men of the OPSH had chased some members of the gang into a house in a densely populated community in Jos where a female occupant had attracted other women who barricaded the house, making it possible for the criminals to escape through a back door.
