The Plateau State government and a South African company, Wellington and White, have agreed to invest in agribusiness in the state.
This was disclosed when Governor Simon Bako Lalong received the Managing Director of the company, Mr Ina White, and his team on Tuesday, at the Government House, Rayfieled , Jos.
Mr White noted that the state has the potential and a fertile soil where lots of crops could grow and that was why his organisation has decided to partner with the state to tap the potential.
He said: “The purpose of our visit is to identify the available facilities and the crops to start with, adding that they would start tomatoes, flowers and pepper.
Responding, Governor Lalong told the visiting team that his administration would facilitate and guarantee their investment in the state.
