Plateau relaxes curfew

Following resolutions reached at a high-level stakeholders’ meeting chaired by Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State, the government has relaxed the 24-hour curfew earlier imposed on Jos North and South LGAs following the violence that broke out as a result of the #EndSARS protest.

This was contained in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Danladi A. Atu, who noted that the curfew has been relaxed from 6 am to 8 pm from Friday, October 23 until further notice.

“This decision was reached after painstaking deliberations with critical stakeholders and careful assessment of the security situation that led to the skirmishes in some parts of the affected local government areas, last Tuesday.
