A heavy downpour that lasted about five hours killed two school children and destroyed several houses in some parts of Jos, the Plateau State capital yesterday.
Most streets in Jos were flooded, while gutters, drainages, streams overflowed into people’s houses.
Our correspondent who visited one of the affected places in Gada Biu area observed that those living around the river bank were badly affected.
