The PDP in Plateau State has set up a seven-man disciplinary committee to probe the suspended state Chairman, Damishi Sango, and his Deputy, Amos Gombi.
Sango and Gombi were both suspended last week Wednesday by the executives over alleged diversion of presidential campaign funds during the 2019 general elections, as well as N9.8m meant for IPDs, among other reasons given for the suspension.
The party’s vice chairman for Plateau North, Chris Hassan, was asked to take over as the acting state chairman pending the outcome of the disciplinary committee.
The committee is expected to submit its report on May 29, 2019.
Barrister Sunday S. Pangwal will serve as chairman of the committee, while Pamson Dagyet will serve as secretary.
“The SEC members have agreed that the suspension of the state chairman of the party, Damishi Sango and his deputy, Amos Gombi was in accordance with the constitution of the party,” Hassan said.
